Coaching Guidelines
Welcome!
I have positive expectations for a coaching relationship that helps you to create the life YOU want to live. To partner together professionally, I want you to be familiar with the following guidelines.
Terms of Coaching:
I invite you to think of Coaching as a process. Many people create change for themselves in a short time. However, to refine and sustain the change takes several months. Although not binding, I would ask that you expect our Coaching relationship to last at least 12 sessions.
You are responsible for all decisions you make and actions you take through the coaching process, and you will not hold me liable for any loss incurred as a direct or indirect result of such decisions and/or action.
We commit to being honest and straightforward with each other in all aspects of the coaching process.
Fees:
Each coaching session is 45 – 60 minutes long. The charge for each session is $120.00 and the sessions are prepaid for each month by the first of the month. Different payment arrangements can be made to accommodate both of us. There are discounts available when sessions are pre-paid in packages.
Our coaching relationship includes unlimited e-mails between sessions; and unlimited short (5-10 minute) calls as needed to report emergent problems or successes. Please email me and let me know when to call you if you have some news. You can also call me at 651 491 4840, but sometimes you will get my machine, as I am frequently busy with calls! Email is often the fastest way to reach me, as I check it frequently in between my calls.
Procedure:
I will call you at the specified time, unless we make other arrangements. If you are expecting my call and I don’t call, please allow five minutes then call me at 651 491 4840. If you wish to connect with me in between sessions with a challenge, a success or an inquiry, I will make every attempt to respond to your e-mail within 24 hours, with an email or short phone call at your discretion. I’m happy to provide this extra level of service at no additional charge.
Changes:
If you need to reschedule our appointment, please give me 24 hour notice. If you have an emergency or illness, you can reschedule with less than 24 hour notice. If you do not show up for a scheduled call, for any reason, and provide no notice (latest notice can be five minutes past scheduled session start time), we will not make up that time. If I need to reschedule, I will give you at least 24 hour notice as well, barring an emergency or illness.
Problems:
If I ever say or do anything that upsets you or doesn’t feel right, please bring it to my attention so that we can resolve it as soon as possible. My objective is to have a coaching relationship that is fully open, honest, real and trusting in our communication styles. We should both realize that communication via telephone or email entails extra challenges since we cannot see body language, facial expressions, etc. Therefore we give each other plenty of latitude, and promptly ask for clarification if there is a mis-connection. If either of us believes that the coaching process is not working as desired, we will communicate that and participate in taking corrective action. Either of us may terminate this agreement before completing the number of coaching sessions/hours specified herein if corrective action is unsuccessful, or for other reasons, termination is considered the most prudent option.
